10s across the board! I chose Bill Ragan Roofing because I wanted peace of mind and I have it. I trust the craftsmanship of my new roof and it was completed so quickly. Bill himself was onsite and is not only an expert but is just the nicest man. When the crew left, it looked like they were never there except for their fabulous work. They tarped the entire front of the house to protect my plant beds and communication was genuine, transparent and respectful from start to finish. I also needed some new decking but they only replaced what was absolutely necessary. Luke Miller was a great partner as Roofing Advisor and Servando and his crew did excellent work. Thank you!

I called to schedule a roof estimate and was told someone else would contact me about scheduling. Weeks went by so I called again, once again was told someone else would follow up to schedule. Finally, days later, someone calls me and says they can come the next day. We asked them to provide an estimate for two leaks, and an estimate to replace the entire roof. The estimator didn't provide any estimate for the leaks, but did incorrectly diagnose the problems causing the leaks (other companies were able to find the actual problem). We were then told we'd receive an emailed estimate for the new roof in a few days. Two weeks went by, no estimate. I called them again and asked for the estimate. The girl that answered the phone said she would talk with the estimator and get back to me. That was over a week ago. I'm not sure how this company has good reviews. They are the only roofing company that didn't provide an estimate right on the spot after the initial inspection. We've decided to replace our entire roof, and I'm happy to pay someone with competent customer service to do it.

Anyone that returns a call and then declares that doing a job without meeting the home owner is "a waste of my time"......well good luck in the current economy Bill. Lots of people had to make ends meet after the housing market crash. Some of us live in other states now and rent out the houses we bought before the crash. You won't even do an estimate if I don't fly down to the house? You need a wake up call on what the current economy is like. No idea if he provides a quality service, It looks like it. But clearly I was going to be dealing with an old school guy that isn't interested in helping me out. *Just saw this response (google didn't notify me). Excellent response so Ill take it back up to 4. This is the kind of professionalism a good business has when dealing with bad reviews. Everything still stands in the review, but the response gets them a change in the number of stars.

I have an additional review since the previous one which appears below. After being contacted by Bill and Taffy. Agreed to reschedule for work. Had repairs done. So far so good. Luke the young man who did the work inspected and repaired and was pleasant to work with. Satisfied with the effort to right the situation and how it worked out. Previous review "Scheduled an appointment for an inspection and estimate on repairs for roof leak. The repair tech called to ask if he could reschedule for the following week I agreed to the new date and time he requested. He was a no show. Never received a call or text from he or the company. Not reliable."

It was great working with Bill and one of his project managers, Matthew. They provided me with a premium shingle with excellent wind and impact ratings at a price point more in line with a basic commercial grade shingle all while staying within the insurance claim settlement! His bid to replace my gutters was excellent. All in all, I feel like Ragan Roofing saved me $5000-$7000 over a competitors bid. They were easy to work with; they communicated clearly about their processes, products and warranty (lifetime!). The workmanship is spot on and their cleanup efforts were genuine. I feel like I have added value and curb appeal to my home, and we anticipate receiving a discount on our insurance premiums due to the quality ratings of their products! My wife and I highly recommend these guys!

Bill Regan personally met with me to put a plan together for a new roof. He was courteous, polite and listened to what I expected in looks, value, efficiency and longevity of a new roof. I had specific requests to be done which were "out of the normal" and he was attentive and understanding of these needs.  He was directly involved in resolving any and all issues that came up. We suffered some damage from 90+mph winds. Bill Ragan himself came out and later sent Steven to repair. Steven was timely, thorough, kind, and didn't leave until he himself was satisfied the roof was ready to sustain for even stronger winds. This is my second review of Bill Ragan Roofing. The first was after routine maintenance work that Bill's crew did, and it was great. However, this review is for the major full re-roofing of my house and garage that Bill just did for us. Our house is a large historic home with a high and complex roof structure, including a large solar panel array. I have had a lot of renovation and remodeling done on homes I have owned over the years, with a lot of different contractors. Some of them became good friends and we still work with them. However, I do not think I have ever had work done where I didn't have something that I thought maybe wasn't just right or whatever. Here, though, I am at a loss to find anything to complain about other than that the metal copper is really shiny when new 🙂. Bill's crew thought about every little detail. As an example of them thinking about even small things, Saturday night after they left, I remembered that I had unplugged the irrigation system to allow them to plug into an outlet around the front of the house. I think one of the roofers may have seen me do it, but I had no expectation that the folks who finished up would remember or even know that I had done that more than a week after the job started. However, it was plugged back in when I went over to check it. Bill, thanks for having such a great crew work on this for us.

Bill’s team were very efficient and got the job done in great time ! Cleaned up well afterwards. His company did our last roof 18 years ago and did just as great this time, looks beautiful and full warranty as well. Honest crew and well done , highly recommend them.

My experience with Bill Ragan Roofing company goes back to 1996. I contracted with them to put a new roof on a home before I closed on the purchase as I moved from California. They did an excellent job even before I got back to move in. Several times over the next 20 years I had small roofing issues which they came out to repair, never asking for or accepting any payment. Now in 2025, after moving 10 years ago into a different house, it was time to put on a new roof. I called Bill Ragan Roofing and started working with Dennis Holder. He immediately came out and inspected the roof. Within 48 hours, I had a detailed estimate showing all of the specifications of the work to be done and an actual fixed price. With over 10 houses having new roofs on our street in the last 6 months, I was able to compare pricing and determine that Ragan Roofing was very competitive. Upon accepting their bid, my project was scheduled at my convenience, and work started on time. The crew was organized and professional, careful with the landscaping and did a wonderful job cleaning up the debris. The roof looks great, and I could not be more satisfied with the company and the people.

Bill Ragan Roofing Company was very easy to work with! Dennis Holder came out and did a general inspection and discussed some issues with my old roof. The following morning Dennis gave me some shingle choices and pricing. The following Monday morning, Chad, the project manager oversaw the roofing project and installed my new roof in one day and did an excellent job. I highly recommend Bill Ragan Roofing company.

Bill Ragan Roofing Company came highly recommended in the “16th District Nashville” Facebook group and for good reason. Dennis Holder was my roofing advisor; not only was he a chiller, but he was very helpful throughout the whole process. I was a little worried about how to handle getting my roof replaced through my insurance, but Dennis walked me through what I needed to do and the entire process ended up being fairly easy, and much easier than I was expecting. On their end, Dennis submitted everything required in a timely manner to insurance. In regards to the actual roof replacement, Chad Lowell was the project manager and he also did a great job. The roofing crew not only did a phenomenal job on my roof, but also voluntarily cleaned my gutters; they were also extremely thorough in their cleanup and mindful of ensuring my gates were closed so that my dog could get back out in the yard as soon as they were done. Both Dennis and Chad provided excellent communication, were happy to answer any questions I had, and were pleasant to work with. Overall great experience with Bill Ragan Roofing!

Bill Ragan did my nextdoor neighbor’s roof and he absolutely raved about the excellent service Bill rendered. When we needed a roof we included Bill Ragan among our three bids. We soon realized that our neighbor was spot on! Bill came and personally inspected every inch of our roof. He then patiently and fully explained the claim response from our home insurance company. At every point he was professional, polite (humorous even), and completely understood the nuances of all the local requirements. The actual roofing experience was a breeze. Workers showed up on time, were meticulously neat, and worked very efficiently as a team. In two days the job was complete and we were thrilled. There were some gutter-guards that were preexistent which two workers took extreme care to repair and re-install. As part of his basic servant nature, Bill has come back to personally clean our skylights. The entire operation was excellent in every way. If you need a new roof I would strongly recommend that you include Bill Ragan in your bids. I suspect that you will be pleased also.

We had several roofing companies come out to provide a quote and we ended up with Bill Ragan's roofing company and we can't be more pleased! They were the most expensive quote (but let's be honest, when you are paying for a roof what's a little extra for a lot more piece of mind?) but the professionalism, craftsmanship, and customer support is priceless. The team came on time and the roof was completed in one day. My husband and I both work from home and we were able to continue to work all day despite the roofing noise. Recently we decided to sell the house and an overly ambitious inspector decided to use a drone and not a ladder to "inspect" the roof. When he came back with concerns that were clearly not correct, Bill himself came over, inspected, took photos, and proved the inspector wrong. Bill and his team are dedicated to making sure Nashville has the strongest and best roofs possible. Give them a call, you won't regret it!

If you are curious who to use, you have come to the right place. Bill and his crew are amazing. Bill came to our house himself to do the estimate, which was very fair! Not only did they give us a better roof design over our enclosed patio but they did various other patches throughout that we needed while they were here. Communication and work were all excellent!!!

Bill Ragan roofing installed our roof 15-years ago. We recently had a problem with a loose gutter which caused some damage. We asked Ragan to look at it. They said it might’ve been caused by something they did at the time of installation Consequently, they did the repairs at no cost to us. Understand this was 15-years after the installation. We were expecting a repair cost of several thousand dollars, but Ragan took responsibility and fixed the problem free of charge. Bill was great to work with. Called because of missing shingles and roof leak. Gave us 2 quotes - 1 if we just repaired and 2 a new roof. No high pressure sales pitch like some companies. Since insurance paid for new roof, went that route. They were able to start within 2 weeks and completed the job in one day. No mess or damage to landscape. The roof looks great and no issues!

I would recommend Bill Ragan Roofing to anyone in need. I have a home built in the 60’s with old wood plank decking instead of plywood (and I knew I had some rotten wood that needed to be replaced. Other companies insisted the whole roof system needed to be replaced for big money). Dennis at BRR assured me that however I wanted to approach the repair they would accommodate my needs. I had gotten two other quotes from local companies and BRR was able to provide me with the most competitive quote, coming in at a price range that was acceptable to me. Before work started I was even included in a text chat with Dennis, Chad the project manager, and Bill Ragan himself so we could all communicate effectively. I can't say enough good things about the customer service that Bill Ragan and his employees offer. I was wonderfully taken care of by Nate, who came and assessed the roofing issue that I had. Nate then put me in touch with the owner, Bill Ragan. Bill is a perfect gentleman and superb roofer. Bill came out and took care of some shingle issues and did not charge me for it. I will, however, be signing up for his yearly roof inspection contract. This is for my piece of mind. This company is no pressure and they treat you with respect and caring service. I would highly recommend tis company for any roofing issue. They are the cream of the crop.

Bill Ragan was very "hands-on" , numerous visits to evaluate and explain before the work and to inspect after. His crew was quick and professional. I have a small house. The job took only a day. When I got home I could barely tell anyone had been there, except for the new roof. I am very happy someone recommended this company to me, and hope I am able to recommend them in the future.

We were being told by the buyers of our home that our 11 year old roof needed to be replaced. I was skeptical and called Bill for a second opinion. I cannot say enough good about my experience with Bill Ragan Roofing and Associates. I was very impressed with the professionalism of everyone I encountered and the quality of their workmanship. Mr.Regan put a roof on my mom's apartment within the last year. With the winds and rain from Hurricane Harvey, we developed a leak around the area between our house and the apartment. I called Mr. Regan and he sent a man right over. After further inspection, it was discovered that the leak was not in the roof but from an upstairs window/flashing around the window leaking. All said and done, Mr. Regan did not charge me anything. The man spent a good 15-20 minutes inspecting things and even went in the attic to verify the findings.Honest man.

We got quotes from 4 different companies but Bill Ragan’s was the only one who followed up with us. He was flexible to modify the contract to our specific needs and had a very competitive pricing for quality workmanship and product. He eased our stress of choosing the right shingle color by suggesting 5 different ones himself and nailed a sample of those that we liked up on the roof so we can see it different times of the day. He was patient with us because it took a while to agree on the perfect one. Once the job started the crew showed up on time and worked hard getting the old mess off and installing a brand new roof in 1 day by hand nailing the shingles. They cleaned up after themselves making sure no nail was left behind. Even our rusty vent pipes got painted so our brand new roof looks impeccable. Bill was also very helpful sorting things out with insurance. Bill, Taffy and the rest of the crew thanks again for a job very well done!

This is a company which gives a f*** about customer service. I initially thought it was the associate assigned to me- he cancelled inspections 3 times, each time about 1 hour before he was due to come: since we all have the time two take 2 hours off our schedule, right? Than he was pushing to come out before the end of the year and I had do insist I didn’t want anyone until Jan. Than when we scheduled someone to come out they never showed up! I called to get associate (Lyle) off and got someone else assigned. He was supposed to give me a time frame for the visit-never did. He calls me day of appointment to give me time frame and the guys show up 5 min after (I was trying to shower).Finally he is adamant about getting a check right away (which means before job is completed as I had to leave for work). NEVER ever use this company again and I will naw sure my realtor, who reccommended them, will taken them off her list.BTW I was supposed to receive copy of invoice for job by email right away: guess what? Never happened.

Bill Ragan Roofing provided us with an exceptional experience in replacing our roof from start to finish! As a nurse I have, at best, limited expertise in selecting a roof shingle color, although the Ragan Team guided us seamlessly through the process. The Team helped select the best colors by actually placing large samples on our old roof to view during various environmental conditions including sunlight, at dawn/dusk, cloudy and rainy settings. Once we selected the shingle then Mr. Ragan obtained the materials quickly and his team replaced the roof. His team efficiently replacement our roof in one week with an emphasis on the details by protecting our landscaping and our new driveway. We called Bill Ragan, along with several other companies, to figure out an issue we were having with our screened porch roof. The first company insisted we need to replace the roof for $14K. Several of the other companies thought they could fix the problem, but they didn’t seem sure of what was going on. Bill Ragan came out himself. We had roofing and gutter problems that only Bill Ragan was able to problem solve. We also had dry rot with a difficult repair and Bill did an excellent job. If you want to see how different colors look on your roof he will nail sample shingles on your roof. Bill Ragan Roofing and their crew are extremely professional. They installed our roof several years ago. They were out for our annual roof inspection and, like the perfectionists they are with a fine tooth comb, they found the necessary nails to repair and replace. Vince took the time to explain every detail of their inspection and work to maintain our beautiful roof. We just had a second visit to fix a corner gutter drip. Vince completely took the time to take pictures of the before and after repair job. Not only did he repair the corner, he took it apart, cleaned it of loose granules, dried it and glued the connection at the two metal gutter corners and then applied the glue topically as well as putting the gutter guard in. Most roofers would have just applied the glue topically and not bothered to clean, dry and glue the pieces back together again. As always, Bill Ragan roofing continues to impress. I had already had a good experience using Bill Ragan for a roof repair two years prior to a neighbor's 200 year old Oak tree falling onto my roof during the derecho we experienced in May, 2020. Wow, wow, wow! That’s all I can say about my new roof from Bill Ragan Roofing Company . After storms hit our neighborhood, we had countless roofing companies knocking on our door. When I started working with my insurance company, it became clear they were not eager to pay what was truly needed. A friend referred me to Bill, and it was the best decision I could have made. He went head-to-head with the insurance company, speaking their technical language and negotiating on my behalf until we received a fair settlement. On installation day, the crew arrived on time and protected my property with tarps, carefully covering plants and landscaping. They removed nearly four tons of shingles and completed the entire job in one day. The cleanup was so thorough you wouldn’t have known they were there. A few days later, we experienced a minor issue. Details of my experience: I had some wind and hail damage at the end of last year and lost some shingles. I had numerous contractors come out to take a look and give their opinion and estimate. Bill Ragan's guys were the most attentive and professional. They were the most honest and straight-forward about the damage and what would be needed. Unlike some other companies, no shady contracts to be agreed to before full estimates were put together and we had full detail from the insurance company. Zero time-crunch pressure and no pressure for upgrades or other costs. I had a lengthy battle with the insurance company over getting the entire roof replaced, and through that process Bill's team was supportive and patient. They helped me with professional input to use as leverage with the insurance company, they helped me obtain samples for ITEL and the insurance companies independent analysis, and they put down some temporary material to help protect the areas where I had lost shingles while I went through the battle with the insurance company. They did all this without any formal commitments on what I'd get approved or need done, and without charging me anything for their help. With a company with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and materials like they have, I was expecting higher prices, but their prices were ultra competitive, and even cheaper than some of their less-professional and less-thorough competitors. They not only preached how customer-focused they are, they demonstrated it repeatedly. After two months of working with the insurance company, I finally got the desired outcome and we schedule the work and Bill's team knocked out the roof in one day. Fast professional team, everything looks great, and I had zero extra cleanup of any material or missed nails - they fully tarped the area for the work and did a thorough cleanup afterwards. We were concerned to see discoloration on our ceiling and realized we had a roof leak. A Bill Ragan Roofing advisor came out to look at the roof, both from above and from the attic. He took photos, and most importantly took the time to explain the damage and what was required to fix it. He explained our options, the cost and expected life of each, and that Bill Ragan Roofing would do the job right in order to make this the last roof we’ll need to put on our house. They also worked with us to get the best result possible from our insurance company, who wanted to downplay and not cover the damage. The job itself only took a day and a half, and the friendliness and skill of the crew doing to work was evident through the job. Our roof was damaged in a storm, and our insurance company did not want to pay for all of the damage. Bill Ragan worked with us and our insurance company to document the damage to our insurance company and negotiate an amount to cover the cost of replacing our roof. Bill and his team were persistent and patient with the insurance process. Once the matter was approved by our insurance, the team came out and did a great job replacing the roof in a quick and timely fashion!! Thanks for all the hard work!

I had a leak near the chimney, which makes it complicated to diagnose. They were able to quickly find a couple of possible issues, and we started with the most obvious (and fortunately least expensive) one. They had some trouble sourcing some additional safety equipment, as my roof is steep and sometimes slick. After a few scheduling mishaps due to this equipment, they offered to do the service free of charge, to keep up their reputation, and to keep the customer happy. Their attitude and actions speak for themselves! They also let me know that my roof had 7-10 more years of life, and that I didn't have any hail damage (despite other roofers coming by to say that I did). I appreciate a company that is honest, and that isn't out to take advantage of folks. Highly recommended.

I hesitated to have someone come look at my roof because I was certain their goal would be to try and get me to replace my roof. Not only did John do a complete inspection and quickly fix the leaking problem, he identified 3 other issues that would have turned into bigger problems and fixed them at no add'l cost. THEN....he said my roof would last longer if the tree limbs weren't touching it. I know he's right but had not wanted to get on the roof to take care of that issue. SO....he did it! trimmed the tree limbs and cleaned off the roof/gutters. I CANNOT say enough nice things about my experience with Bill Ragan Roofing!

Bill Ragan put in a new roof for my parents right before the ice storm. The workers used tarps to cover all the shrubs. They were done in a day and did a great job of cleaning up. This was the second roof Bill put on their 53 year old house. Bill is easy to work with and became their intermediary with their insurance agent, advocating for what he knew they needed. Choosing Bill Ragan for my roof replacement and siding was the best decision I have made by far in a 2 year time span of renovating my Brentwood home. Bill is quick, straight forward, efficient, and does excellent work. This was the most painless project I have encountered with a subcontractor. I never once had to followup on anything. He was always ahead of me. Johnny his onsite supervisor is excellent as were the entire crew. I am very happy with the work Bill Ragan Roofing performed to redo my flat roof. It required removal of a huge brick chimney that had been leaking for ages, fixing the structural rot caused by the leaks, removing two layers of previous roof covering, curbing the entire roof to add 4+” of insulation, placing insulation, new EPDM and skylights, and re-flashing the entire roof into remaining chimneys and various slanted roofs adjoining the flat roof. We also reinforced the entire roof to get it ready for solar panel installation. Bill is very knowledgeable and helpful in finding solutions to some complicated problems. Bill was onsite during a good portion of the work to make sure everything was done properly. I can now take care of other work on the house, confident that the roof is secure against wind and water (in all its forms). Thank you Bill & Co.

Ragan Roofing (Mykule and Zach) responded to a small leak/stain showing up on a bedroom ceiling. They inspected both inside my attic and my roof and found the source of the small leak, which was a worn/weathered boot on a vent pipe. They quickly repaired/replaced it. They did this (safely) during a very windy and rainy morning. They also provided a quote for future work to inspect and repair all my vents etc that exit via my roof.

Honestly goes a long way these days. A portion of our gutters was damaged in the ice storm. Bill Ragan came out, and he told us only a portion of the gutters needed to be replaced. We also asked him to look at our roof. He looked at our roof and told us that it did not need to be replaced at this time. Probably not for another couple of years. The gutter was repaired the following week. I so appreciated the promptness, and most of all, his honesty. We highly recommend Bill Ragan Roofing Co.

If you ever need a new roof, Bill Ragan is the guy to call. Working with this company has been a pleasure from the initial phone call to the final walk through. We had some major issues with our insurance company and members of Bill’s team helped enormously by coming out to the house to speak with the adjuster and even nailing shingle samples up on the roof to prove there was no match available. I called after the ice storm. I had two holes in my roof where tree limbs had fallen. They were out there much faster than I expected and had everything repaired in a very quick and efficient manner that I had come to expect from Ragan Roofing. I had just purchased a new house and discovered a pretty severe leak around my chimney. I called 3 different roofing companies and Bill Ragan Roofing was the only one to call me back quickly. Bill was out at my house the next day inspecting my problem. He'll let you get up on the roof to inspect the findings yourself if you feel up to it...which I did. He explained why my problems developed and what was needed to correct the leak. His guys were on the job within a week correcting my problem. I decided to go ahead and replace my entire roof after discovering some minor leaks around my dormers as well. Bill stayed in touch with me after my first phone call from problem inspection to completion of the job well done. Bill is a genuine and honest man and a pleasure to work with. I contacted Bill during a very busy time in Nashville (after the ice dam issues many of us had) and he was able to do a thorough analysis and recommendation on how to fix our issues. I gave bill a call after I had my roof replaced by another roofer. The roof was very "wavy" and I was blaming the first roofer for all kinds of things. I spoke with four contractors before a Nashville property manager (a business friend) referred me to Bill Ragan Roofing. I asked how he knew the company. The property manager said he had done work with Bill Ragan Roofing previously "and Bill Ragan Roofing replaced the roof on my own residence, and I was pleased with the process and my new roof". That was my kind of referral. I contacted Bill Ragan to discuss the replacement of our roof on a three bedroom house in the Bellevue area of Nashville.
